We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Freight Dispatcher to join our team at YK Freightways Inc. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for coordinating the movement of goods and ensuring timely delivery to our customers.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain Accurate Records: Keep track of shipments, vehicle operator work records, and other relevant information to ensure seamless logistics operations.
- Coordinate with Drivers: Dispatch personnel according to schedules and work orders, and advise vehicle operators of traffic and other problems to ensure safe and efficient transportation.
- Process and Transmit Information: Use dispatching equipment to coordinate the activities of vehicle operators and crews, and record mileage, fuel use, repairs, and other expenses.
- Monitor Workloads and Locations: Keep track of personnel workloads and locations to ensure optimal resource allocation and minimize delays.
- Provide Excellent Customer Service: Respond to customer inquiries and concerns in a timely and professional manner to maintain a positive reputation for YK Freightways Inc.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
- Experience: 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a related field
- Personal Suitability: Client focus, efficient interpersonal skills, flexibility, organized, reliability, and team player
