Job Summary

We're seeking an exceptional Head of Engineering to join our team and help us build a world-class engineering organization. As a key member of our leadership team, you'll be responsible for driving innovation, building a high-performing team, and delivering cutting-edge solutions that meet our customers' needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a culture of engineering excellence, empowering our team to deliver high-quality solutions
  • Build and lead a talented engineering team, recruiting top talent and establishing processes for hiring, onboarding, and retention
  • Own the project timeline and delivery, setting expectations for a solid cadence and high level of quality
  • Contribute to technology and product roadmap decisions, ensuring alignment with our company vision
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience managing high-performing engineering teams, with a proven track record of success
  • Experience creating interview processes and recruiting top talent
  • Previous hands-on experience as a software engineer, with a strong understanding of consumer or B2B product development
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
  • Experience setting and hitting high quality and reliability standards for the engineering team
  • Positive attitude, with a strong work ethic and a get-it-done mentality
Preferred Qualifications
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest AI engineering practices and research
  • Experience working on large-scale consumer or B2B tools
  • Experience with AI/ML/Data Science, Python, Javascript, NextJS, Node.js, MongoDB, and Redis
Remote Work @ Durable

We're a remote-first company with an in-person hub in Vancouver, offering 24/7 access. This role is open to candidates in North America.

Compensation

The salary range for this role is $240,000 to $290,000.
