The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of mechanical systems and be able to work independently with minimal supervision. They will also be able to provide diversity and cross-cultural trainings to create a welcoming work environment for newcomers and/or refugees, and provide awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for youth and Indigenous workers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspect and test mechanical units to locate faults and malfunctions
  • Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of automotive and truck-trailer systems
  • Complete reports to record problems and work performed
  • Provide diversity and cross-cultural trainings to create a welcoming work environment for newcomers and/or refugees
  • Provide awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for youth and Indigenous workers

Requirements:

  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience
  • Permanent position
  • 32 to 40 hours per week
