The Opportunity

As a key member of our Operations Team in Toronto, the Outbound Planner plays a vital role in ensuring the efficient movement of goods across our network.

  • Develop and implement effective pre-planning strategies to meet customer requirements, optimize equipment utilization, and balance truck loads.
  • Collaborate with Driver Coordinators to ensure driver needs are met and goals are achieved.
  • Monitor and maintain customer trailer pools to ensure optimal utilization.
  • Work with customers, carriers, and load brokers to balance truck loads and ensure timely delivery.
  • Perform related duties as assigned by supervision or management.

What You Need to Be Successful in the Role

  • Fluency in both French and English.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in effective trip planning.
  • Strong self-discipline to complete tasks without constant supervision.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Effective geographical knowledge of North America.
  • Ability to work statutory holidays when required.
  • Effective computer keyboard skills.
  • ACE and Customs/border crossing experience an asset.
  • AS400/ICC experience an asset.
  • Availability to work Monday to Friday, 4:00pm to 12:00am.
