Job Title: Specification Sales Representative

We are seeking an experienced Specification Sales Representative to join our team at DMC Recruitment. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for promoting our premium interior surfacing products to architects and designers in the Metro Vancouver, Edmonton, and Calgary regions.

About the Role:

This is a unique opportunity to work with a well-established manufacturer of premium interior surfacing products. Our client has a strong reputation for providing exceptional service levels and industry-leading products, and we are looking for a sales representative who can build genuine and long-term relationships with the A&D community.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Call on architects and designers to promote our line of products and provide ongoing education and support
  • Possess and demonstrate continuity of some previous relationships with local A&D firms
  • Follow projects through to completion in order to "hold the spec"
  • Conduct regular training and education meetings and lunch and learns with clients
  • Host and attend industry events and trade shows as required
  • Support local distributor reps as the territory manufacturers rep and product line expert
Requirements:
  • Previous experience working as a Specification Sales (A+D) Representative, Inside Sales catering to A&D, or as a Distributor or Manufacturers Representative who have called on Specifiers
  • Education, background, or passion for interior design is an advantage
  • Valid Canadian driver's license
  • Completion of post-secondary education/program is desirable
