Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Diagnostic Imaging Sonographer to join our team at Northumberland Hills Hospital. As a key member of our Diagnostic Imaging department, you will be responsible for performing various ultrasound examinations and working closely with medical staff to provide high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures, including routine and specialized exams
  • Collaborate with medical staff to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective treatment plans
  • Assist with interventional ultrasound procedures, such as ultrasound-guided biopsies
  • Participate in the after-hours on-call rotation, providing 24/7 coverage for emergency situations
Requirements
  • Registration with the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario (CMRITO) and good standing
  • Membership with Sonography Canada
  • Strong communication, organizational, and critical thinking skills
  • Proven good attendance record and ability to maintain this standard
  • Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods and respond professionally in high-stress situations
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience working in a hospital setting
  • Recent related EPIC experience/electronic documentation in a hospital setting
  • Previous experience working with a Picture Archive Communication System (PACS), Hospital Information system (HIS), Radiology Information System (RIS)
