Job Summary:

The Interior Health Authority is seeking a skilled Clinical Practice Educator (Registered Nurse DC2) to join our team at the Royal Inland Hospital in Kamloops, BC. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide leadership in the delivery of nursing education and instruction to staff and patients/clients based on adult education principles and philosophy within a specific clinical specialty or patient/client population.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide clinical guidance and resource support to staff in the application of the nursing process in the provision of patient/client care.
  • Assist the Manager in establishing and maintaining standards of care and in providing and participating in continuous quality improvement environment.
  • Develop and implement education programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of healthcare professionals.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care delivery and patient/client outcomes.
  • Contribute to the development of policies and procedures related to nursing education and practice.

Requirements:

  • Current registration with the College of Registered Nurses of British Columbia.
  • Master's degree in Nursing or related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a clinical practice educator role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
