Commercial Risk Expert

Aon is seeking a Commercial Risk Expert to join our Vancouver team. As a key member of our Commercial Risk team, you will help empower results for our clients by delivering innovative and effective solutions.

About the Role

This is a flexible in-office role in our Vancouver office. You will lead and oversee the 120-day Renewal Process, including preparing the renewal report, presenting to client for approval, acquiring the binding order, reviewing policy documentation and delivering to client in a timely manner.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee the 120-day Renewal Process
  • Lead by example and assist colleagues in delivering (Delivering Aon United) DAU to clients and prospects
  • Delivering continuous excellence in servicing an existing book
  • Collaborate with colleagues in Vancouver and throughout Canada
  • Identify specific client and prospect needs and develop innovative and cost-effective solutions
  • Ensure all procedures, internal client documents, and correspondence are in compliance with Aon audit standards
  • Coordinate/lead the strategy for the account and the ongoing requirements during the year, leading negotiations with underwriters
  • Cross-sell and expand the existing insurance programs with our clients
  • Develop and lead client relationships to increase penetration sales and cultivate new business opportunities
  • Produce new business and assist in the development of sales and marketing strategy designed to cultivate revenue generation opportunities
  • Develop new contacts and establish relationships with prospects that align with the Region's/Branch's acknowledged targeted industry or segment groups
  • Act as the visible face of Aon to the clients/prospects in the community, working to consistently prospect and facilitate lead generation activities
  • Participate in industry-sponsored events and maximize opportunities to become involved with various industry committees

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years commercial risk experience
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with a broad range of audiences
  • Meticulous attention to detail, refined organizational skills, and the ability to multi-task
  • Level II license required
  • Able to lead a team of brokers, claims advocate, and risk control consultant for the client
  • Consistent track record of prioritizing tasks under ambitious timelines
  • Strong digital literacy and proficiency with the Microsoft Office Package
