Dental Hygiene Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Dental Hygiene Specialist to join our team at Metcalfe Street Dental. As a key member of our oral health care team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and promoting overall well-being.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct Comprehensive Assessments: Conduct thorough initial dental assessments to identify potential oral health issues and develop personalized treatment plans.
- Collaborate with Dentists: Work closely with our dentists to ensure seamless patient care and make informed decisions regarding treatment.
- Provide Patient Education: Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques, including brushing, flossing, and the use of fluoride treatments.
- Preventive Care: Clean and stimulate gums to prevent gum disease, and apply fluoride treatments to promote healthy tooth development.
- Diagnostic Services: Take, develop, and mount X-rays to diagnose and monitor oral health conditions.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including dental procedures and treatment plans.
- Infection Control: Ensure a safe and clean environment for patients by adhering to strict infection control protocols.
- Education: College/CEGEP diploma in Dental Hygiene or a related field.
- Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a dental hygiene setting.
- Certifications: Dental Hygienists Licensure by the appropriate provincial or territorial governing body.
