Job Title: Light Duty Cleaner

Job Summary: We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Light Duty Cleaner to join our team at Northern Cleaners Whitehorse Limited. As a Light Duty Cleaner, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our facilities, including sweeping, mopping, and polishing floors, dusting furniture, and vacuuming carpets and upholstered furniture.

Responsibilities:

  • Sweep, mop, and polish floors
  • Dust furniture
  • Vacuum carpets, area rugs, draperies, and upholstered furniture
  • Make beds and change sheets
  • Distribute clean towels and toiletries
  • Stock linen closets
  • Clean and disinfect kitchen and bathroom fixtures and appliances
  • Clean and disinfect elevators
  • Handle and report lost and found items
  • Provide basic information on facilities
  • Pick up debris and empty trash containers
  • Wash windows, walls, and ceilings
  • Clean changing rooms and showers

Requirements:

  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience, or equivalent experience
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, under pressure, and with tight deadlines
  • Physically demanding work, including bending, crouching, kneeling, and standing for extended periods
  • Excellent oral communication and interpersonal skills
  • Reliability, dependability, and a client-focused attitude

Work Environment: Our facilities are located in urban areas, office buildings, and commercial buildings. You will be working in a variety of settings, including private residences. As a Light Duty Cleaner, you will be required to use public transportation.
