We are committed to providing quality care and education for children. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for creating a nurturing environment that promotes social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development.

The estimated salary range for this position is between $45,000 - $60,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.

Job Description

As a Child Care Supply Professional, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Providing personal care to children, including toileting, first aid, medication administration, and monitoring dietary needs and allergies
  • Actively engaging with children in group settings, ensuring their supervision and safety
  • Planning and implementing play-based learning activities aligned with the YMCA Curriculum
  • Maintaining positive communication with families, staff, and volunteers
  • Creatively designing an inclusive environment to cater to diverse needs, including exceptional behaviors and additional requirements

Additional duties may include adhering to work schedules, ensuring program ratios, and demonstrating adaptability in routines and schedules.

Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you must possess:

  • A minimum age requirement of 18 years
  • Current Standard First Aid and CPR (Level C) certification or completion within the first 90 days of employment
  • Satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Check
  • Up-to-date immunizations or equivalent according to local health regulations
  • Availability for either 2 full days per week (7am-6pm both days) or 3 afternoons (2:30-6pm)
  • Passion for working with children and delivering quality, play-based learning
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for building relationships with families, staff, and volunteers
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 20 kg, and participate in physical activities
  • Capacity to work outdoors for at least 2 hours daily in all weather conditions
