About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Construction Trades Assistant to join our team at High Touch Construction Ltd. As a key member of our crew, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth execution of our construction projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Material Handling: Load, unload, and transport construction materials to and from job sites.
  • Site Preparation: Assist in erecting and dismantling concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring, and barricades.
  • Mixing and Pouring: Mix, pour, and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt as required.
  • Earthwork: Level earth to fine grade specifications, ensuring accurate and precise results.
  • Cleanliness and Maintenance: Clean and pile salvaged materials, perform routine maintenance work, and clean up chemical spills and other contaminants.
  • Debris Removal: Remove rubble and other debris from construction sites, maintaining a safe and organized work environment.
  • Machinery Operation: Tend or feed machines or equipment used in construction, adhering to safety protocols and guidelines.
Physical Demands
  • Weight Handling: Lift and move materials weighing up to 23 kg (50 lbs), requiring physical stamina and endurance.
Requirements
  • Training and Development: Willingness to learn and receive training on the job.
  • Work Schedule: Permanent position, working 30 to 40 hours per week.
  • Language: English language proficiency.
