In this role, you will facilitate the sales process by generating new sales opportunities or upselling via phone, email, or other electronic communication. You'll oversee responses to customer orders and quotation requests for all levels of accounts received via outside salespersons, telephone, e-mail, and written and faxed correspondence. Your primary goal is to provide exceptional customer service for product information, order entry, and follow-up support in support of sales, gross margin, and corporate service goals.

Main Responsibilities
  • You will provide day-to-day customer service by assisting customers in determining product needs and providing logistics support for product needs, ensuring compliance with all established company policies, procedures, and guidelines.
  • You will input sales orders into the computer system in an accurate and timely manner.
  • You will provide customer-requested information in a timely manner.
  • You will continuously improve sales and product knowledge by active involvement in both inside and outside training.
  • You will develop code directives for certain products while maintaining target margin goals, generating profitable growth through quota attainment.
  • You will perform estimating, take-off, and proposal duties as necessary.
  • You will prospect for new sales opportunities via outbound calling and emailing.
  • You will provide product pricing by consulting the pricing matrix and other resources to determine the appropriate price, ensuring compliance with company guidelines and procedures.
  • You will facilitate the sales process through project management, tracking open sales orders, issue resolution, and overall customer service and support.

About You
We're looking for an individual with 2-5 years of experience in sales, preferably with inventory sales experience. A Bachelor's or Associate's degree is preferred, but not required. You should possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
