Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Controller to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the financial operations of our company, including accounting, financial reporting, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage accounting operations, including billing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger, cost accounting, inventory accounting, and revenue recognition.
  • Prepare and review financial statements, including monthly and annual reports.
  • Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.
  • Manage and comply with local, provincial, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
  • Develop and implement policies, processes, and practices to ensure compliance and stellar performance.
  • Support financial analysis initiatives and provide advice on internal audits, controls, and checks.
Requirements
  • Proven working experience as a Financial Controller.
  • 5+ years of overall combined accounting and finance experience.
  • Advanced degree in Accounting; CPA or CMA preferred.
  • Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
  • Experience with creating financial statements.
  • Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process.
  • Excellent accounting software user and administration skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Leadership and coaching skills.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
