Department OverviewThe Department of Psychology & Neuroscience at Dalhousie University is a vibrant community of scholars dedicated to advancing knowledge in psychology and neuroscience. Our department offers a range of undergraduate and graduate programs, including a CPA-accredited Clinical Psychology PhD program.
Research FocusWe are seeking a candidate with a strong research focus in Clinical Psychology, with a demonstrated ability to build and maintain a high-quality research program. The successful applicant will have shown a dedication to scholarship and a demonstrated ability or potential to contribute to the department's research excellence.
Teaching and ServiceThe successful applicant will be expected to actively participate in undergraduate and graduate teaching and research supervision, as well as service to the PhD program in Clinical Psychology. Opportunities for clinical supervision are available within the Clinical Psychology Program's state-of-the-art training clinic, the Centre for Psychological Health.
RequirementsWe welcome applicants with any area of research specialization. Preference will be given to candidates with a PhD in Clinical Psychology from a CPA- or APA-accredited program, ideally with accredited internship experience. Applicants who have a PhD in Clinical Psychology should also be eligible for registration as a psychologist in Nova Scotia.
