Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Welder to join our team at Ironwood Auto Service Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating and repairing metal parts and products using various welding techniques.

Key Responsibilities
  • Interpret welding process specifications and operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment
  • Read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings specifications, manuals and processes
  • Examine welds and ensure that they meet standards and/or specifications
  • Operate manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment and brakes, shears and other metal shaping, straightening and bending machines
  • Determine weldability of materials and maintain and perform minor repairs on welding, brazing and soldering equipment
Work Environment

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment with repetitive tasks, handling heavy loads, and physically demanding conditions. Attention to detail and hand-eye coordination are essential for this role.

Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in the field
  • Ability to work outdoors in dusty, hot, and noisy conditions
