Job Title:

Home Support Worker - Companionship and Care

Lydia Swift is seeking a motivated and compassionate Home Support Worker to join our team. As a Home Support Worker, you will provide companionship and care to our clients in their own homes, ensuring their physical and emotional well-being.

Responsibilities:

  • Administer bedside and personal care
  • Assist clients with bathing and other aspects of personal hygiene
  • Assist in regular exercise, e.g., walk
  • Administer medications
  • Plan therapeutic diets and menus
  • Prepare and serve nutritious meals
  • Launder clothing and household linens
  • Mend clothing and linens
  • Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties
  • Provide companionship and emotional support
  • Shop for food and household supplies

Requirements:

  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience an asset
  • Criminal record check
  • Ability to work under pressure and physically demanding
  • Dependability, flexibility, initiative, judgement, and reliability
