Dishroom Attendant Opportunity

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as a Dishroom Attendant at Aspira Martindale Gardens Retirement Living. This role is critical to ensuring the cleanliness and sanitation of our kitchen facilities, impacting the lives of our residents and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Clean and sanitize dishes, pots, glassware, and cutlery in accordance with established procedures.
  • Ensure correct usage of chemicals in dish machine and pot-washing areas.
  • Perform daily cleaning tasks, including mopping the kitchen floor.
  • Assist with receiving and uncrating supplier deliveries.
  • Alert team leaders to any issues or concerns.

Requirements:

  • Grade 10 minimum education required.
  • Smart Serve designation and one year experience in dining room service.
  • Proven customer service skills and excellent command of verbal and written English language.
  • Ability to work independently and/or as a member of a team.
  • All applicants must successfully pass the prescribed Vulnerable Sector Check.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Safe Food Handling Certification.
