Your Opportunity:
We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our multidisciplinary team within the Alberta Kidney Care – North program.
As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care in accordance with AHS policies and procedures.
You will provide patient and family-centered care to acute and chronic renal failure patient populations while working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
The ideal candidate will possess effective time management and organizational skills, as well as critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
Required Qualifications:
Completion of an accredited LPN education program and active or eligible for registration with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA).
Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP) certification is also required.
Additional Required Qualifications:
Must have Physical Assessment, IV Therapy, and Medication Administration course completion.
Ability to lift 40lbs (18kg) is also necessary.
A passing mark of 80% on the final exam and satisfactory performance during clinical component is required for Hemodialysis Training.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience and Advanced Practice Standards 3-10 & 16-17 certification are preferred.
Working with Us:
As a casual employee, you will not have a regular schedule, and there will be no minimum hours guaranteed for any week or month.
However, you will have the opportunity to work at your full scope of practice and provide a variety of nursing duties in accordance with current policies and nursing care standards.
