Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Floor Covering Installer to join our team at Build It Back. As a key member of our installation team, you will be responsible for ensuring that our clients receive high-quality flooring installations that meet their needs and exceed their expectations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect and measure surfaces to be covered, ensuring accurate measurements and precise installation.
  • Measure, cut, and fasten underlay and underpadding to create a stable and even surface.
  • Install carpeting on floors, walls, and other surfaces, using knee kickers and other equipment as needed.
  • Conduct moisture, pH, temperature, and other tests prior to flooring installations to ensure a safe and healthy environment.
  • Prepare floors for installations by removing existing floor coverings and contaminants.
  • Inspect and repair damaged floor coverings to maintain the integrity of the installation.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in the flooring industry.
  • Ability to work in a dusty and odorous environment.
  • Steel-toed safety boots and gloves required.
