**Financial Business Analyst**

Latecoere Aerostructures Canada (Avcorp Industries) is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Financial Business Analyst to support financial planning, cost analysis, and business decision-making within our aerospace manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare detailed financial models for bids, analyzing cost structures, and providing actionable insights that contribute to both short-term and long-term objectives.
  • Evaluate financial implications of specific business decisions and opportunities, advising management to support targeted financial performance.
  • Oversee plant costing activities, including material, labor, and overhead standards.
  • Perform detailed variance analysis and prepare models for special projects such as free cash flow analysis.
  • Develop complex valuation models to prepare detailed bids for new programs and projects.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather data and provide financial insights for bid pricing, ensuring alignment with both commercial and defense contract standards.
  • Gather, compile, and analyze sales, material, labor, and overhead data for budgeting and periodic forecasting.
  • Partner with Program Managers to prepare detailed monthly sales and spending forecasts, integrating financial and technical aspects of designated programs.
  • Provide effective and timely financial information and insights to support corporate leaders in executing strategies and operating plans.
  • Support the monthly closing process, including sales analysis, and gross margin evaluation.
  • Support senior management with reports, providing value-added financial information to Program Managers on material costs, labor efficiency, and support hours.
  • Identify process improvement opportunities related to costing, budgeting, and financial analysis. Ensure compliance with internal controls, FAR regulations, and other relevant industry standards.
  • Actively challenge current processes and systems, proposing enhancements that improve data integrity, reporting speed, and decision-making accuracy.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Business, or Engineering.
  • 5+ years of finance, costing, or pricing experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in aerospace or defense.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including financial modeling and complex data analysis.
  • Experience in cost accounting within manufacturing and progressive financial analysis.
  • Strong ethical standards and integrity in financial reporting and analysis.
