Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Housekeeping Ambassador to join our team at Fairmont Royal York. As a key member of our Housekeeping department, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional service to our guests and ensuring that our public spaces are clean and well-maintained.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide professional, polished, and friendly service to guests and colleagues alike
  • Conduct regular inspections of public spaces, cupboards, elevators, and stairwells to ensure they meet our high standards
  • Adhere to our hotel's grooming policy and maintain a professional appearance at all times
  • Utilize our Key Tracer system to sign in and out master keys daily
  • Operate our Royal Service Mobile system according to standards and policies
  • Manage cleaning supplies and equipment in accordance with our hotel's policies and procedures
  • Return and properly tag lost and found articles in the Housekeeping Office
  • Follow hotel and departmental policies, procedures, and service standards
  • Report necessary maintenance items frequently and communicate with leaders
  • Follow all safety and sanitation policies and procedures
  • Assist Room Attendants with maintaining the cleanliness of gold floors, including closets, corridors, lounge, and public spaces
  • Restock glassware, linens, and supplies as needed
  • Deliver and remove guest requests and preferences
  • Communicate openly with Fairmont Gold colleagues to enhance the overall guest experience
  • Ensure that no items are placed in the corridor at any time

Requirements

  • Previous housekeeping experience is required
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities
  • Proficient in English language
  • Highly responsible and reliable
  • Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team with minimum supervision
  • Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
  • Must be able to work weekends, shift work, and holidays
