About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and caring Childcare Assistant to join our team at Graham - private household. As a Childcare Assistant, you will be responsible for providing top-notch care and support to our children in a home-based setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assume full responsibility for the household in the absence of parents, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for the children.
  • Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties to maintain a clean and organized home.
  • Discipline children according to the methods requested by the parents, promoting a positive and respectful atmosphere.
  • Keep accurate records of daily activities and health information regarding the children.
  • Organize engaging activities, such as games and outings, to stimulate the children's minds and bodies.
  • Prepare and serve nutritious meals, considering the children's dietary needs and preferences.
  • Supervise and care for the children, ensuring their physical and emotional well-being.
  • Work closely with the parents to understand their expectations and preferences, maintaining open communication.
Requirements
  • No degree, certificate, or diploma is required for this role.
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in childcare or a related field is preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Flexibility to work 44 hours per week, with a permanent work term.
  • Proficiency in English, with the ability to communicate effectively with the family and other stakeholders.
