About the Role
Canadian Blood Services is seeking a Temporary Part-time Program Clerk - General to join our dynamic Supply Chain Operations East team.
The Supply Chain Operations East team is responsible for supporting Canadian Blood Services by providing administrative support to all program activities within the Supply Chain Team. You will provide this support in accordance with all regulations, standards, and good manufacturing practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Leverage your excellent customer service skills to provide program support for the Supply Chain and other departments as assigned.
- Draw on your knowledge or experience in records management to provide support including packing/shipping/retrieval of offsite records.
- Utilize your strong attention to detail to perform timekeeping/payroll functions, as well as data entry and database maintenance, maintain accurate records and filing.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Completion of a secondary school program.
- Minimum of two years of recent related office or administrative experience.
- Proficiency in the use of personal computers within a Windows NT operating system. Intermediate skill level required, using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook software.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, being able to exercise sound judgment, tact, and discretion when dealing with others.
- Strong communications skills, both verbal and written, in English are required.
- Ability to develop and maintain professional working relationships within a team environment as well as with departmental staff, management, volunteers, and customers.
- Excellent customer service skills are critical, including effective listening skills and the ability to respond effectively.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, being able to manage multiple tasks and competing priorities within short timelines.
- Exceptionally strong attention to detail in all aspects of work.

- Shifts are Monday and Thursday: 0800 to 1230; Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday 1130-1600. Shifts are subject to change based on operational needs.
