About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Engineering Design and Drafting Technologist to join our team at Alberta BTC Group. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for preparing engineering designs and drawings, reading blueprints to determine work requirements, and supervising other drafting personnel.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Drafting: Prepare engineering designs and drawings, develop and prepare design sketches, and estimate costs and materials.
  • Technical Expertise: Read blueprints to determine work requirements, examine drawings for conformity and errors, and consult with client, engineers or production specialists to establish product requirements.
  • Leadership and Teamwork: Supervise other drafting personnel, lead and instruct groups, and work collaboratively with team members to achieve project goals.
  • Computer and Technology: Utilize computer-aided design (CAD) software to create and edit designs, and stay up-to-date with the latest technology and software.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: Experience is an asset.
  • Work Setting: Willing to relocate.
  • Computer and Technology Knowledge: Proficient in computer-aided design (CAD) software.
  • Area of Specialization: Construction.
  • Transportation/Travel Information: Willing to travel.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Combination of sitting, standing, and walking.
  • Personal Suitability: Organized, team player, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
