Job Description

The Strategic Initiatives organization's role is to partner with senior leaders across the Services, Markets, Banking and Functions (SMBF) technology organization to ensure proper governance over our top Strategic Initiatives. This position requires a strategic professional who closely follows the latest trends in their field and adapts them for application within their job and the business.

This role will be responsible for providing transparency to senior Citi stakeholders and auditors from Technology. Excellent communication skills are required to negotiate at a senior level. The Lead Technology Program Manager will be an influencer role, with a strong focus on communication and people management skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identifies stakeholders and key organizations and builds and manages relationships.
  • Supports planning, directing, and coordination of day-to-day activities of running a program or portfolio of programs.
  • Ensures creation and signoff of program plan and charter, benefits management plan, stakeholder management plan, acceptance plan, and central program issue log.
  • Leads the facilitation, coordination, and arbitration of cross-functional macro-level topics within/across programs and with Senior Management.
  • Surfaces risks or issues which may impact program delivery and ensures mitigation strategies are developed and executed when necessary.

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of Program and Project Management experience.
  • At least 7-8 years of experience in the financial industry, preferably for a bank/broker-dealer.
  • Has managed complex projects for a major investment bank.
  • Solid grounding in capital markets (any asset class), preferably including around OTC derivatives.
  • Experience of delivering on projects in geographically diverse, multi-team environments.

Education:

  • Bachelor's/University degree or equivalent experience, potentially a Master's degree.
