Job Title: Wholesale Buyer

Best Office Inc. is seeking a skilled Wholesale Buyer to join our team. As a Wholesale Buyer, you will be responsible for purchasing merchandise for resale, negotiating prices and discounts with suppliers, and maintaining adequate stock levels.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Study market reports and sales promotion materials to determine market trends and requirements
  • Establish and maintain contact with suppliers to negotiate prices and discounts
  • Maintain adequate stock levels to meet customer demands
  • Negotiate transportation arrangements with suppliers
  • Oversee the distribution of merchandise to outlets
  • Review requirements of the establishment and determine the quantity and type of merchandise to purchase
  • Select and purchase merchandise for resale
  • Supervise the work of other buyers
  • Visit trade shows, showrooms, factories, and product design events to stay up-to-date on industry trends
Requirements:
  • 1-2 years of experience in a wholesale or purchasing role
  • College/CEGEP education
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Attention to detail
