Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Strategic Director of Operations to join our team at the Government of Canada - Central. As a key member of our leadership group, you will play a crucial role in shaping our organizational strategy and ensuring its effective implementation.
About the Role
This is a senior leadership position that reports directly to the Senior Executive. The successful candidate will be responsible for allocating resources, establishing departments, and formulating policies to drive business growth and success.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement operational strategies to achieve business objectives
- Lead cross-functional teams to drive process improvements and efficiency gains
- Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including senior executives, employees, and external partners
- Represent the organization in official functions and negotiate on its behalf
- Select and develop middle managers, directors, and other executive staff
- Conduct performance reviews and provide feedback to employees
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field
- 2 years of experience in a similar leadership role
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities
