We are seeking a skilled Drywall Installation Specialist to join our team at Standard Drywall LTD. as a permanent employee.

About the Job

The successful candidate will be responsible for installing drywall sheets, applying successive coats of compound, and sanding seams and joints. You will also be required to clean and prepare surfaces, cut and install metal corner beads, and fill joints, nail indentations, holes, and cracks with joint compound.

In addition, you will measure, cut, fit, and install drywall sheets, position and secure them to metal or wooden studs or joists, smooth out excess compound, and allow coat to dry. You will also spray acoustic or texture materials over walls and ceilings, tape over joints using a taping machine, and embed tape in compound.

Our ideal candidate will have experience working with hand and power tools, including metal stud framing and furring for interior drywall or plaster walls and ceilings. They will also be able to prepare wall and ceiling layouts and work under pressure.

Requirements
  • 2 years of experience in drywall installation
  • Ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
  • Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
