Key Responsibilities
  • Transportation Management
    • Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials, adhering to all relevant regulations and safety protocols.
    • Oversee the condition of the vehicle, inspecting tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Logistics Coordination
    • Load and unload goods, ensuring accurate and efficient handling.
    • Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections, overseeing all aspects of vehicle maintenance and repair.
    • Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption for accurate tracking and reporting.
  • Customer Service
    • Receive and relay information to central dispatch, ensuring seamless communication and coordination.
    • Pay and receive payments for goods, maintaining accurate financial records.
  • Safety and Security
    • Tarping and ensuring the safety and security of cargo, adhering to all relevant regulations and protocols.
    • Transport and handle dangerous goods, following all necessary safety procedures.
Requirements
  • Air Brakes Endorsement
  • Driver's License (Class 1 or A)
  • Experience in long-haul transportation, with a strong understanding of logistics and supply chain management.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Work Environment

As a Truck Driver with Phoenix Hauling Ltd, you will be working in a fast-paced logistics environment, with a focus on safety, efficiency, and customer satisfaction. You will be required to work 45 to 50 hours per week, with opportunities for overtime and career advancement.
