About the Role

Saltworks Technologies is a global leader in advanced industrial desalination and lithium refining. We're seeking an experienced Commissioning Engineer to join our team and lead exciting projects while working directly with industry-leading clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the delivery of innovative clean technology solutions, leveraging technical expertise and team-oriented skills.
  • Oversee the entire commissioning project lifecycle, working closely with our Project Management Office (PMO) and Engineering teams to commission systems/plants at our factory and customer sites.
  • Engage in comprehensive commissioning planning, encompassing budgeting, scheduling, resource allocation, and procedure/standard development for factory and site commissioning.
  • Represent Saltworks at customer job sites.
  • Collaborate with your team to deliver high-quality system/plant commissioning and ensure a seamless handover to customers.
  • Bring forward design feedback, driving continuous improvement and innovation within our engineering teams.
  • Implement standardized, efficient commissioning processes while enhancing our cutting-edge industrial desalination and resource recovery plants.
  • Become a subject matter expert, enabling you to keep and expand technical skills while also developing project management skills.
Requirements
  • No travel constraints: You must have a valid passport and be able to travel to customer sites internationally.
  • A relevant Engineering degree or diploma in any of the following disciplines: Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, Integrated, or Commissioning.
  • The ability to register as a P.Eng. with EGBC.
  • 3 - 5 years of relevant working experience as an engineer in an industrial setting, particularly in the backend of project delivery and handover.
  • Familiarity with industrial safety standards for mechanically and electrically energized systems.
  • A proven track record of delivering high-quality commissioning work in a fast-paced industrial environment.
  • Proficiency and hands-on experience in hydrostatic testing, mechanical and electrical commissioning, process control commissioning, and field commissioning.
  • Collaborating with multiple stakeholders to ensure commissioning processes are safety-oriented.
  • Exceptional critical thinking skills, adept in risk management, and an excellent troubleshooting mindset.
  • Strong leadership capabilities, complemented by outstanding communication skills.
