About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Ethnic Food Preparation Specialist to join our team at Diya Restaurant and Sweets Ltd. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals or individual dishes and foods to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation and Cooking: Prepare and cook a variety of ethnic dishes, including complete meals and individual dishes, using fresh ingredients and adhering to our high standards of quality and presentation.
  • Kitchen Management: Supervise and manage kitchen staff and helpers, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Inventory and Supplies: Maintain accurate inventory records of food, supplies, and equipment, and order supplies and equipment as needed.
  • Cleaning and Maintenance: Clean and maintain the kitchen and work areas, ensuring that they are always clean and hygienic.
  • Training and Development: Train and develop kitchen staff and helpers, providing guidance and support to ensure that they have the skills and knowledge needed to perform their roles effectively.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Work Setting: Restaurant.
  • Work Language: English.
  • Hours: 40 hours per week.
