Job Summary

Island Health is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Nurse Educator to join our team. As a Clinical Nurse Educator, you will play a key role in developing and implementing educational strategies and programs to enhance the clinical practice of our nursing staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement educational programs and strategies to enhance clinical practice
  • Provide education and training to nursing staff on various topics, including adult education and learning principles
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement evidence-based practice
  • Conduct needs assessments and evaluations to ensure educational programs meet the needs of nursing staff
  • Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including nursing staff, physicians, and other healthcare professionals
  • Stay current with best practices in nursing education and clinical practice
Requirements
  • Graduation from a recognized nursing program or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
  • Registration with BC College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing RN registrant
  • Three to five years' recent related experience, including two years' relevant clinical experience
  • Valid BC Driver's License
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in nursing education or related field
  • Experience in clinical education and development
  • Knowledge of adult education and learning principles
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
