Aircraft Maintenance Engineer Crew Lead Position

We are seeking an experienced Aircraft Maintenance Engineer to lead our maintenance team in Yellowknife, NT. As the Crew Chief, you will oversee the daily activities of the maintenance crew, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and promoting a safe working environment.
About the Role- Plan, direct, and oversee activities of the maintenance crew, promoting a culture of safety and respect.
- Lead and mentor apprentices and mechanics, conducting regular performance reviews and ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
- Communicate and liaise with maintenance, flight crew, and dispatch teams as required.
- Perform all maintenance activities in accordance with applicable airworthiness standards, ensuring accurate paperwork before handing back to the Crew Chief.
- Identify potential Service Difficulty Report (SDR) situations and report to the Maintenance Controller.
To be successful in this role, you must possess:
- A minimum 5 years of experience as a licensed AME, preferably working with larger aircrafts.
- Transport Canada AME M or E license or a combination of the two, with the ability to hold Aircraft Certification Authority (ACA).
- Necessary endorsements for the type of aircraft on which crews will work.
- Previous experience working on ATR42/72, DHC-8, BAE146, RJ85/100, D228 aircraft would be an asset.
- The ability to direct and supervise the work of and provide practical training to AMEs, including fostering apprentices towards successfully attaining an AME license.
This position offers a competitive total rewards package, including:

This is a nightshift/dayshift position, 14 days on, 14 days off, with alternating shifts between 5pm-5am and 5am-5pm. The base location is Yellowknife, NT.
