Job Title: Residential Counsellor

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Residential Counsellor to join our team at the Society for Treatment of Autism (NS). As a Residential Counsellor, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder in a group home setting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide emotional support and guidance to clients in a group home setting
  • Assist clients with daily living activities, such as housekeeping and food preparation
  • Supervise activities and ensure client safety
  • Liaise with other social services agencies and healthcare providers
  • Implement behaviour management programs and provide crisis intervention
Requirements:
  • College diploma or equivalent in a related field
  • Experience working with individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder
  • Behaviour management certification and other relevant certifications
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
