Key Responsibilities- Consultation and Diagnosis: Collaborate with other medical practitioners to evaluate patients' physical and mental health, and provide accurate diagnoses and treatment plans.
- Medication Management: Prescribe and administer medications and treatments, ensuring the highest level of patient care and safety.
- Patient Education: Advise patients on health care, provide counseling and support on a wide range of health and lifestyle issues, and empower them to take an active role in their health.
- Reporting and Record-Keeping: Report births, deaths, contagious and other diseases to government authorities, and maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
- Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care and achieve the best possible outcomes.
- Education: A degree in medicine, dentistry, veterinary medicine, or optometry is required.
- Experience: Experience in a healthcare setting is an asset, but not required.
- Languages: Proficiency in English is required, and proficiency in one or more of the following languages is an asset: Afrikaans, Arabic, Mandarin, Hindi, Dutch; Flemish, Russian, Filipino; Pilipino, Polish, Ukrainian, Chinese.
