Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Analog IC Design Engineer to join our team at Cisco Systems, Inc. This role will be responsible for designing and developing high-speed analog ICs for our optical communications products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop high-speed analog ICs for optical communications products
  • Collaborate with packaging and hardware design teams to ensure signal and power integrity specifications are met
  • Lead efforts for large blocks on complex chips, mentor team members, and track deliverables
  • Participate in peer review of complex IC designs and provide solid design methodology from conception to production
  • Work with other Acacia mixed-signal engineers to collaborate on optimized designs that integrate into the ASIC
Requirements
  • BSEE degree with 12+ years of experience or equivalent
  • Design, simulation, and measurement of high-speed ICs in at least 3 areas: High Speed Serial Links, High Performance Output Drivers, and High Performance Phase Locked Loops
  • Direct experience with electrical transceiver applications, including backplane and cable communications
  • Experience with design for manufacturability, including characterization over PVT, electromigration analysis, power and IR drop analysis, and solid ESD laboratory practices
  • Experience with high-frequency test equipment, including BERT, jitter analyzers, VNA/PNA, etc.
