Job Description

As a Service Worker I, you will be responsible for transporting patients and equipment throughout the hospital site, distributing and replenishing supplies, and cleaning patient care areas as directed.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A Grade 12 or equivalent education

In addition, we are looking for applicants with:

  • Recent Service Worker I experience working in the OR
  • Service Worker experience or experience working in an OR

Strong interpersonal and communication skills, ability to work independently or as part of a team, and a pleasant and respectful manner in relationships with patients, physicians, staff, and the public are essential.

Preferred Qualifications

We also prefer applicants with the ability to remain calm under pressure, maintain confidentiality, and identify areas for improvement.

The ideal candidate will be able to work efficiently and effectively with others, prioritize workload, and handle heavy or awkward items.

Estimated Salary Range

$45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
