Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Repair Technician to join our team at Active Green + Ross. As a key member of our maintenance crew, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and safety of our equipment.

About the Role

This is a full-time position that requires a high level of mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills. The successful candidate will have experience working with various types of machinery and equipment, and be able to perform routine maintenance tasks, diagnose and repair faults, and implement preventative measures to minimize downtime.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of engine repair, electrical systems, and hydraulic systems, as well as experience with welding and machining. You will also possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks on equipment and machinery, including oil changes, filter replacements, and lubrication checks.
  • Diagnose and repair faults on machinery and equipment, using diagnostic tools and techniques.
  • Implement preventative measures to minimize downtime and ensure optimal performance of equipment.
  • Work safely and efficiently, adhering to all relevant health and safety regulations and guidelines.
Requirements
  • Post-secondary education in a related field (e.g. automotive mechanics, heavy equipment technician).
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar role, preferably in a fast-paced industrial or commercial setting.
  • Strong understanding of engine repair, electrical systems, and hydraulic systems.
  • Experience with welding and machining.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
