Telesat Corp. is seeking a highly skilled System Configuration Management Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Systems Engineering team, you will play a critical role in the development and implementation of our revolutionary Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellite network, Telesat Lightspeed.
Main Responsibilities:- Configuration Management: Manage hardware and software development environments, and program technical data with attention to detail.
- ITAR Processes: Understand and comply with ITAR regulations.
- Configuration Baselines: Establish and maintain single-source-of-truth configuration baselines for the Verification Team.
- Documentation: Own and control all documentation defining configuration and verification status of the system.
- HW and SW Configuration: Control and document hardware and software configuration as built.
- Collaboration: Work closely with program execution and engineering teams.
- CM Tools: Utilize CM tools for configuration identification, configuration control, configuration status accounting, configuration verification, and audits.
- Process Definition & Implementation: Define and update processes for requirements management in engineering tools.
- Continuous Improvement: Advocate for continuous process improvements.
- Communication: Develop strong communication skills and present clear, concise information to various audience levels, including management.
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Science, or College Degree.
- Experience: 5-7 years of experience in Engineering or a related field, with experience working in an Engineering design environment and interfacing with Hardware, Systems, Software, and Test Engineers.
- Software Configuration Management: Experience using software configuration management processes and tools.
This role will have significant influence on the execution of the applications and infrastructure for the Lightspeed program. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in configuration management and be able to make recommendations and decisions based on their experience.
