Fengate Asset Management is seeking an experienced Senior Building Operator to join our team.

About the Role

The Senior Building Operator will be responsible for the day-to-day operations and maintenance of a diversified portfolio of buildings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate, maintain, inspect, and test building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and life safety equipment.
  • Respond to tenant requests and close out work orders in a timely manner.
  • Maintain daily operations logs and maintenance records.
  • Monitor construction to ensure base building systems are protected and not altered or damaged.
  • Supervise outside contractors and staff as required to ensure completion of tasks with minimal disruption to tenants and the building.
  • Manage and maintain clean, safe, and appealing buildings and property at all times.
  • Ensure all Life and Safety documents are current, displayed, and practiced while performing duties.
  • Respond to emergency calls on a 24-hour basis for a group of commercial buildings.
Requirements

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced individual with a strong background in building operations and maintenance.

  • Minimum 3 – 5 years experience in building operations and maintenance in a commercial office and critical asset environment.
  • BES level I is required.
  • Service driven with excellent interpersonal, communication (oral and written) and organizational skills; able to cope with changing client needs and deliver successful results within agreed upon timeframes.
  • Detail oriented; able to resolve problems using facts and sound reasoning.
  • Self motivated, professional, and flexible; able to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Must be friendly and courteous with a professional image.
  • Fire safety knowledge is an asset.
  • WHMIS certification is an asset.
  • Valid Driver's license with a clean driver's abstract.
Salary

The estimated salary for this position is between $70,000 - $100,000 per year, depending on experience.
