About the Role

Fidelity Investments is seeking a highly skilled Investment Analyst to join our team in the Institutional Product Group. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality investment product analysis and expertise to our clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • As a subject matter expert, you will possess in-depth knowledge and expertise of assigned Fidelity products and maintain a solid understanding of the competitive landscape, including market trends and flows.
  • You will collaborate with investment managers and analysts to position and support the investment mandates with the sales and relationship management teams.
  • Your strong analytical skills will be required to complete detailed quarterly portfolio reports for institutional clients.
  • You will support portfolio managers with client interactions and provide support to the retail and institutional sales team.
  • You will contribute to the product development process for new products within your asset class coverage and assist the marketing teams in ensuring clarity and accuracy of all product-related collateral.

Requirements

  • Excellent analytical, writing, oral communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to take initiative, work independently, and handle multiple tasks.
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to work under tight deadlines with a commitment to excellence.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Working knowledge of VBA is an asset but not required.
  • Comfort in working with project-based goals with tight timelines.
  • Completion of a 4-year post-secondary degree, ideally with a business focus (Finance, Economics, and/or Accounting) or equivalent work experience.
  • Enrollment in or completion of a CFA designation or MBA will be advantageous.
  • Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) designation considered an asset.
  • 3-5 years of investment market expertise.
