Chef Job Description

Xl Food Inc is seeking a skilled Chef to join our team. As a Chef, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals or individual dishes and foods, as well as requisitioning food and kitchen supplies. You will also be responsible for planning menus and estimating food requirements, inspecting kitchens and food service areas, and maintaining inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods
  • Requisition food and kitchen supplies
  • Plan menus and estimate food requirements
  • Inspect kitchens and food service areas
  • Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in the field
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Team player with good time management skills
