About the RoleThis position involves delivering client care according to the British Columbia College of Nurses in an inter-professional shared care case management model.
You will report to the Nursing Supervisor and provide ongoing client care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
Key Responsibilities- Formulate and implement client care plans.
- Safely implement physician's orders.
- Administer medications to clients.
- Maintain current progress records on clients according to legal and ethical standards.
- Orientate, facilitate, and reinforce client involvement in addiction treatment.
You will also decide and initiate on course of action in case of medical emergencies and provide supportive counselling to clients, families, and/or significant others on typical recovery issues.
About YouTo succeed in this role, you will need to have:
- A valid Registered Nurse registration with the British Columbia College of Nurses.
- Mental health experience is an asset.
- First aid and CPR certification.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- The ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
- Computer experience.
