About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Automotive Repair Specialist to join our team at Midas. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on vehicles.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair complex vehicle problems using state-of-the-art computer systems
- Perform tire and tire repair services
- Work on car heating and air conditioning systems
- Repair and maintain steering and suspension systems
- Replace belts and hoses
- Work on radiator and engine cooling systems
- Install and repair batteries, starting and charging systems
- Repair and maintain brake systems
- Perform oil services
- Diagnose and repair check engine light issues
- Work on mufflers and exhaust systems
- Conduct visual safety and courtesy inspections
Requirements
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of automotive brakes, exhaust, suspension, tires, and engine diagnostics
- Proven track record of high personal productivity
- Knowledge of and adherence to safety and environmental standards for repair facilities
- Experience using shop equipment such as lifts, tire changing equipment, alignment machines, and diagnostic tools
- Provincial Certificate of Qualification
- Valid driver's license
- Own tools and equipment (diagnostic scanner and tools preferred)
- Able to service both import and domestic vehicles
