About the Job

We are seeking a skilled Construction Site Labourer to join our team at Ammbii Carpentry Inc. This is a permanent opportunity that offers a competitive salary and a chance to work on various construction projects.

Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for loading, unloading, and transporting construction materials, as well as assisting in the erection and dismantling of concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring, and barricades. They will also mix, pour, and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt, and assist in drilling and blasting rock on construction sites.

In addition, the labourer will help with framing houses, erecting walls, and building roofs, as well as assisting in demolishing buildings. They will clean up chemical spills and other contaminants, remove rubble and other debris at construction sites, and tend or feed machines or equipment used in construction.

The ideal candidate will have experience working in a fast-paced environment and be physically demanding. They should also have manual dexterity and be able to handle heavy loads, up to 45 kg (100 lbs). A hard hat and safety glasses/goggles are required for this role.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, the candidate must have 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar position. They should also be flexible, reliable, and a team player. Additionally, they should have a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate and be able to speak English fluently.
