Ontario Power Generation (OPG) is seeking a highly skilled Nuclear Safety Engineer to join our team in Pickering, Ontario. As a key member of our Nuclear Safety Division, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe operation of our CANDU reactors.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform safety analysis and participate in multi-disciplinary projects to identify and mitigate potential risks.
- Develop and execute projects in compliance with industry regulations and standards.
- Collaborate with a multi-disciplined team of engineering and technical specialists to support the operation of mechanical and electrical systems.
- Provide technical evaluations and advice to support the commissioning, operation, and maintenance of our facilities.
- 4-year Bachelor's Degree in Applied Science or Engineering.
- Advanced education (Master's or Ph.D.) is considered an asset.
- Experience in managing regulatory and licensing issues within a nuclear safety context.
- Knowledge of Safe Operating Envelope (SOE), Thermal Hydraulic Analysis, Safety Report preparation, and Probabilistic Safety Analysis (PSA).
