The ideal candidate will have a strong track record in the industry, extensive experience in commercial environments, and excellent problem-solving skills. They will be a highly motivated individual who works well in a team, takes ownership of responsibilities, and is hands-on in identifying and resolving problems efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform general labour tasks on-site as needed.
  • Verify and receive quantities of all material deliveries.
  • Lead and complete construction projects and tasks within agreed-upon deadlines.
  • Coordinate sub-contractors and labourers.
  • Build relationships with suppliers, trades, clients, and project teams.
  • Ensure all work meets client specifications.
  • Manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously while adhering to overall deadlines.
  • Ensure client expectations and satisfaction are met or exceeded on all projects.
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures at all times.
  • Ensure the quality of work meets company standards.
  • Comply with OH&S policies and regulations.
  • Efficiently manage projects from permit applications to construction completion.

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • At least 5 years of experience in commercial construction.
  • AB-related H&S certifications.
  • Able to lead an H&S Committee.
  • Knowledgeable with AB H&S reporting.
  • Self-perform work with own tools.
  • Apprentice-level carpenter/millworker/general contractor.
  • Exceptional organization and problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail for each project.
  • Experience working with leasing and property managers, tenants, and building operational staff.
  • Reliable, hardworking, strong work ethic, and team player.
  • Familiarity with OBC, LEED design, and Construction Health and Safety standards.
