Powell Canada Inc. is a leading electrical manufacturing, valve servicing and electrical/instrumentation contracting company with over 70 years of experience.

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team in Edmonton, Alberta.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality of our electrical products and services, including inspecting and testing bus duct, low and medium voltage motor control, and low and medium voltage switchgear and PCR/E-Houses.

This is a safety-sensitive position that requires a high level of integrity and attention to detail. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of industry standards and codes, as well as excellent communication and teamwork skills.

In this role, you will work closely with our manufacturing, engineering, and sales teams to ensure that all products meet our high standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspect and test electrical equipment to ensure compliance with industry standards and codes;
  • Identify and report any defects or issues with electrical equipment;
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve quality-related issues;
  • Develop and maintain quality control processes and procedures;
  • Provide training and guidance to colleagues on quality control practices.

Required Qualifications:

  • Diploma in Electrical Engineering or equivalent;
  • Minimum 0-3 years' experience in a manufacturing environment;
  • Familiarity with industry codes and standards;
  • Basic computer skills and proficiency in MS Office products;
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
