We are seeking an experienced Career Development Consultant - Youth to join our team. The successful candidate will work with newcomer youth to help them develop the skills and knowledge they need to succeed in the job market.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the challenges faced by newcomer youth in the job market and be able to provide tailored support to help them overcome these barriers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide career counselling, career development workshops, and mentorship to newcomer youth
- Develop and implement individualized career development plans that address the unique needs and goals of each client
- Collaborate with other agencies and community organizations to provide a comprehensive range of services and support
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of programs and services, making recommendations for improvement as needed
Requirements:
- Degree or diploma in Social Work, Social Services Workers, or related field
- Experience working with newcomer youth and vulnerable populations
- Strong understanding of labour market trends and employment opportunities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
